Clean the Crystal Chandelier in the Right Way

Crystal chandelier always have a certain shine that we always admire, over the years, the crystal chandelier can always have that look that can only spell a lot for your home. This lighting fixture, can always give you exactly the impact in which always give the necessary fault on making your home a great overall style design. So what maintains the shine and elegance of the crystal chandelier? Well of course the owners of the home should always be the one who can maintain this. The best thing to do is clean your crystal chandelier the best way you can so that your crystal chandelier will always have the shine it always posses.
There are certain steps to keep in mind, when cleaning your crystal chandelier, of course being safe can be the best approach to it. First, set up alternative lighting nearby since you won’t be able to use the crystal chandelier for lighting while you’re cleaning it. It is always smart to get another source of light for you to clean the lighting fixture properly. Now, turn off the chandelier’s power at the wall switch. Place a piece of tape over the wall switch so that no one can accidentally turn it on while you’re working.
Cover any upward-pointing bulbs with sandwich bags. Secure the bags with rubber bands. This is just to give you a safe approach on cleaning your crystal chandelier.

Now to get ready, place a drop cloth below the crystal chandelier. Mix a solution of one part isopropyl alcohol or ammonia in three parts distilled water. Or, if you don’t want to mix your own cleaner, buy a special chandelier cleaner from a lighting retailer. Put some solution in a spray bottle. That will very well ready everything up and after that you can start working and preparing clean your lighting fixture. Spray every part of the fixture with the cleanser, avoiding wires and other electrical components. It is very much important for you to have it cleaned well so that you will get the best result for it.

Finally, allow the crystals to drip-dry. If your crystal chandelier is too dirty for this drip-cleaning method, you’ll have to hand-wash each individual crystal with the cleaning solution. Remove the plastic bags from the lights once the crystals have dried, and wipe down light wells and other non-crystal parts with a soft cloth dipped in the cleanser. Allow the entire fixture to dry overnight before turning its power back on. And after all of that you have a carefully cleaned crystal chandelier that you can be proud of.
